Time to relax I feel

OMG I say that like I have been working hard which is a joke..........
But hey - did another event tonight-only 2 hours at the most fantastic health farm resort ......... reckon it could cost me as I now want to join after seeing a) the fabby pool and b) the fit men wandering about!

So I think I will call it the end of season for me on the craft market front. I have an opportunity of a pitch the weekend after next but all this lugging around of boxes etc is a bit tiresome .......... hard life I lead I know.

Besides - I have a HUGE list of things to make for family and friends so I may now just sit back and do that at leisure till the New Year.
I also need to get a website up and so I reckon that will give me the excuse to stay in the warm, event free!

Am really relieved to hear that Delbuts Son is OK - I was worried there for a while - It is a sick world we live in at times - so Del take a once only hug from me love xxxxxxxx I am not nice often but will be this once. In fact have a pint on me and I will chuck you the couple of quid at the next jam meet. Normal Banter will resume quick smart so get ready

Right that is all from me.
I am ready to unwind and chill out - and my sis is home next week which means for a bit of effort I can get nice free lunches. (Who said it was a good idea to move away from them eh? "Free lunches" are now like an hour away!!!!)
Ah well I reckon that will allow free lunch plus shopping in my book

Hope all bloggers are well and healthy and ready for the festive season which surprisingly seems to be about to bite our bums in the very near future!

Love and hugs - and hopefully I can get back to creativity now events are over
Oh - and any ideas of what to make Pete are wholly welcome - as I have promised all family they will get at least one handmade gift - fool that I am

Love Bex xxxxx

I hope the fair was worth doing, and that I didn't send you on a wild goose chase. I have never been there either - sounds fab.

I forgot to reply to the last post. When you were talking about how your daddy helped with the show. I do trade shows as well, bridal shows usually. And my daddy when he's in town, is always right there next to me, sipping coffee, pulling the car around, loading and unloading, helping out. The whole thing.

Once I did an outdoor art fair for my paintings and he was out there under a leaky tent with me, in the pouring rain, all weekend.

Enjoy the season. You seem to have the right idea.

COme on Bex. You KNOW that that hug will not be a one-time only thing!ANd a couple of quid? Where have you been for the last 12 years?

Seriously. Thanks sweetie, you are a star. I'm a bit embarrassed for leaving that message here. Not really sure why i divulged it on here. caught me at a weak moment i guess.

Hugs and a big sloppy kiss back at ya! No return.

BTW. Is your roof still on your shed? Apparantly, there is a tornado on its way to you next! I know a good builder, fit with a good looking arse to fix it if needs be. She is very good.

Bex, with the big heart, big applause for keeping an eye on the ever elusive Delbut, He's a good shit, looking foward to the banter between you's, hilarious no doubt. A thought about Pete, it appears as though he has a beat up old cardboard binder that he uses as his songbook. Maybe with your magic, you can make a proper one to hold his masterpieces in. Have a great holiday season!!

Seeing Delbut's post about the tornado today, reminds me of this old man's tale...

....Why is a tornado like a marriage?

Because after all the sucking and blowing, you end up losing your house!!

Sorry - in a mischievous mood today - off to Marlow to ruin the Xmas late night shopping for people!!

Mwah ha ha!!

Christ, I've flipped!

Delbut Mate - If you are paying more than a couple of quid for a pint then you obviously drink in far better establishments than I am used to. However on this occassion I will up the offer to £3. And OK you may just get a hug again in the future - but don't be too excited by that!

Ranceman - I am actually REALLY liking that idea as it does make me smile when Pete pulls out his battered Blue file .......... Not sure that he would dare to pull out a frilly adorned one but I may just give it a go and see if I can do something more "stylish". Ooh could be a marketing pitch for the website eh? "As seen on Who Tour 2006" Cracking up laughing here ........ as no doubt will Pete when he has to find the words on opening it.
Blimey this Crimbo lark is hard work.
Righty off to cook a right nasty greasy fry up = haven't had one in years and suddenly thought it would be a good idea ...........

Love and hugs to all

Bex, sounds like you need a rest, sweetie.

Good luck with trying to wangle a free lunch - nothing tastes better than free food :D:D:D

Hi Bex!
Nice to hear you are well, happy and resting.
Oh I have a great gift idea for Pete.
I will cover the Who's Meaty, Beaty Big and Bouncy (acapella since the only song I can really play on guitar is the Monkees' Stepping Stone - great song it is though) and
YOU could design the cover!!

Hee hee
Pete will lose what is left of his hearing upon listening to it...better not do that Sue.

Nah - give him a RACHEL calendar!! Del can be your art director...cough cough.

:)

Have fun being crafty!

Lots of love,
Suexx

I think Lego is underated in art circles - I am very proud of my lego toilet. Why don't you make Pete a lego guitar; in that way if he is thinking of breaking it, with a few snaps here and a few clicks there, it is as good as new.

luv,
Paul (legoist)

Hey Bex, I suppose if you go with something that looks bulletproof, a vault, or something rugged, it will keep the ribbing from the boys to a minimum. I'm sure with your magic hands you'll figure out something. Have fun with it all and what the hell is a Fry up? Have a great weekend!!

I've just got my latest copy of Viz magazine, and I am currently crafting too - there's a Nativity scen in the middle, with that jumped-up little shit Bonio from 2U as the baby J. Neil will be thrilled to hear Chris de Blurgh is the archangel Gabby!!

I'll flash a picture up when it's done - has to pick up my new instrument tomorrow. Come's with one of John Entwistle's original straps as well.

Hope you are well.

Right, fry up postponed from breakfast this morning, but happening... NOW!

Rance, a Fry Up varies... it's a meal where most of the food is fried... contents tend to include things like bacon, fried eggs, sausages, waffles, hash browns, spring rolls - extras like baked beans, scrambled eggs, plum tomatoes. Greasy, lardy fare.

Just bought a bass amp and my arms are killing me from carrying it twist shop and tube, tube and home.

Right. Food.

Oh, and if you do the cardboard binder idea of Rance, Bex, make sure you stick on "Beatles 4 ever".

James, thanks for the clarification, you should get a job as a narrator for the discovery channel or something. Well done.

Comment for Ben R in response to his message elsewhere - I bought an Eden amp; the Nemesis NC115 - i.e. this bad boy. 250 Watts; which was more than I needed (180 tops really), but I can put an extra cab on it and it'll serve well for bigger venues. Like the rooftop of Buckingham Palace.

And most likely getting a Fender Jazz next Saturday (use an Aria Pro II 'Mad Axe' at present).

Hmm... guitar talk... it's the wrong blog... feels like it ought to be Neil's... or maybe Rachel's...

I should also mention I am currently wearing black eyeshadow (pirate stuff, Bex).

Hi Bex

Just popped in to catch up on the Life of Bex, but find you're actually almost a week behind in your blogging.....

Hope things are going well with you anyway.

How about some nice handknitted fluffy slippers for Pete? You know - with those cute pompoms on.....
