Friends .................

Well this is a challenge set by the fab Scrapbooking Blogsite "Everyone is Speshal" (see links)
And, well what can I say. I am not a scrapbooker ...... this is only my third attempt - but hey give it a whirl!!!
Some of you may just recognise the culprits in the pic ............. but then hey when talking about friends it is so much easier to talk to the big guys than humans sometimes eh? And for some reason I look at this pic and it says it all - totally comfortable to just be - even if it is for a photoshoot in the back of a camper van! And you can almost feel the trust there too ............

Sorry again for my photography skills - tis dark here and hard to get it clear!

Thanks for all your previous comments xxxxxxxxx
Oh and special thanks to Sue, Elizabeth and Alecia for sending me some ace pics of the Joes Pub gig to start another LO with!
Love Crafty Bex xxxxxx

Lovely work. I do adore that photograph of Rachel. She's going to love it. Is this a Christmas present? My gifts to people are usually quite labor intensive. A few are already in the works.

Don't thank me, thank Alecia for reminding me to send the photo and for giving me your email address!

Keep on truckin'

I just looked at the I am speshial site and I am so glad I did! Some of the stuff is great. Reminds me a bit of mid-dadaist collage (in 2d) or Marianne Brandt and other Bauhaus work.
There's a whole world out there keeping photomontage alive, that I didn't even know about.

Elizabeth - I know - It is FAB isn't it!
Some people are just SO talented and have such a flair for this.
I think I struggle a lot through lack of piccies ......... maybe I need to produce offspring????!!!!!

Or maybe not .........
I bet you have a catalogue of pics you could use - but bewarned it is addictive - and expensive!!!

Love Bex

I stole a lot of photos from flickr, I mean, I needed photos of pigeons, so I went to flickr and typed in pigeons. Printed, cut them up in tiny pieces, changed over seven things, (that's the rule -- you have to change 7 things) and that's how I did it.
I also cut photos/images from magazines. Once I stole mountains from an Altoids ad.
Am I bad?
Gosh I have a lot to talk about today!

This is gorgeous!!!

I am so, NOT CRAFTY, it is not even funny.....it's worse than my photog skills, trust me!!

I can't wait to see your Joe's pub scrappy...maybe you could "color" in the rest of Rachel's dress...ha ha! I actually, think she looked fab! I say, if you have great legs, show em off!!! (or any other body part that looks good..... Uh oh, if Del is here, I don't want his mind in the gutter; I'm thinking arms, shoulders, neck...those types of body parts).

Oh, I should have a look at "everyone is speshal"

take care, bex....

OMG.....those collage's at the speshal blog, are amazing.....did you catch the one about leggings???? I swore, back in 1985, that I would NEVER WEAR LEGGINGS AGAIN, then in 1995, after my daughter, Taylor was born, I swore, that I would NEVER, EVER, wear leggings again......well, you know, you should really never swear about ANYTHING!

Have you tried those Romeo & Juliet, erm, leggings? They are 85% Nylon and 10% Spandex....5% WOW, love em!

ok..bye

Very cool! I love making gifts for people that I love, but simply don't have the extra time these days.

Hope Rach can stay off those 'orrible ciggies.

uh, what's a natter Bex???

Alecia said...

That's super! I don't have a sister. :( Do you think Rach will lend you to me?

I love collage and photomontage work! The basic process of arranging shapes, by colors, textures and relationships is similar to how I work as a graphic designer. I tried to scrapbook when my son was tiny but unfortunately the supplies still sit in the closet untouched. Poor child will have to do with a box of mementoes and scads of CD's stuffed with photos from his childhood.

Elizabeth is VERY good with montage/collage work.. will have to see if photos from her recent show are up yet.

Bex said...

Delbut
Of course I would
And you really don't have to pay - well maybe a pint of Stella at the next blog meet!
You can either email me a couple of piccies - or post (OMG Is this a ploy to get my new addy?)

I am getting into altered canvasses as well so I am sure I can do something nice and girly with piccies of your white little fluff ball ...............

Love Bex
