SNOW????

Who knows
Apparently this neck of the woods is about to grind to a halt with an overnight snow fall of between 5 and 7 inches
BLIMEY you would not believe the hype on local radios etc about the chaos it will cause

It does make me wonder how countries like Canada survive .......................

SO I am off to bed hoping secretly that he snow does appear seeing as work have blatantly said they do not expect me to be able to get in tomorrow ...........

OK erm 5 miles away on main roads - BUT HEY I will buy it as an excuse as it has been offered to me on a plate!!! AND work from home I can SO do that!!!!!

SO sweet dreams all - and pray for the token annual snowfall that grinds the UK to a halt for 3 days each year xxxxxxx
Back very soon as I have many photos to share when I find daylight hours!
Love Bex

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

I wish we would get 5" of snow. We just get an inch or so - enough to make it sloppy and messy and late for work, but it's all gone by the time we get home.

Go outside and make a snow angel in the morning if you can!

5 to 7" - yep got some white stuff up around here. Stokenchurch has about 5" at the moment, and in High Wycombe, it's about 3" at the moment.

I know I'm getting old when I'm more concerned about the travelling in, rather than the falling of, snow!!

You want more?! Secretly I want more, cos then I'd have a nice relaxed build-up to the Attic Jam launch on Monday!! Think they predicted rain over the Chilterns, so might have to come to work tomorrow!

Delbut would make some joke about giving a lady 7", and still wanting more, but I'm faaar too mature to say that!!

Definitely 5" in places in Londinium.

I must admit to kneeling down and gathering some up to throw at a wall a little earlier...

Snow angels and toboganing (I have no idea how to spell tobogan).

Enjoy!

5 inches of snow and they're closing down the town, you've got to be kidding me! We've only had really one dump of snow this year, so my monster snow blower is just sitting idle, waiting for something to happen. I'd lend it to you, but you'd have too much fun wheeling it around and wouldn't return it. Word of caution, do not eat yellow snow.

Hi Bex:

I went to college in Richmond (yup, on the Hill) and I was amazed that the one or two times it did snow in the 4 years I lived there the country actually did come to a schreeching halt. The college was dumbfounded (whatever shall we do, there is two inches of melting snow on the campus). I found it quite funny. Where I live in NY we can get dumped on one or twice a year with 26-36 inches at a time and they STILL expect me to get to work. One of the drawbacks of driving a 4 wheel drive SUV I suppose. Anyway, I hope you got your day off to CRAFT!!!
Your friend's son's music was very nice. I enjoyed the vid!

Like James, i too knelt down in the snow. Not to pick it up but to measure it. I used my very own "dibber" that i have attached to my body. I'm not exaggerating, but in Wales we had 9 inches.

I have about 6 inches.
Its great even though its getting less and less each year!
Thank You
